Gundog Training, Tests, and Trials
Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to training gundogs, competing at various gundog shows, and earning numerous awards and acknowledgements along the way. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing all the time and effort pay off. Personally, I love being out in the shooting field working with my dogs. This season, I have two young, enthusiastic girls making their debut, and I’m sure they will keep me on my toes!
Gundog Training
Gundog training taps into your dog’s natural instincts to hunt. Our training sessions are designed to be both fun and challenging for your dog. We use a variety of techniques to ensure a comprehensive training experience, including:
- Hunting Games with Dummies: Engaging your dog in activities that simulate hunting scenarios.
- Whistle Commands: Teaching your dog to respond to commands and focus, even with distractions.
- Advanced Obedience Techniques: Enhancing your dog’s discipline and control in various situations.
My Labradors and I enjoy competing in Working Trials, and they love picking up on organized shoots. It’s a fun way to build engagement at a distance and respond to directional cues. Gundog training is an incredible skill for your dog to practice, particularly if you love having your dog off-lead.

What dog breeds are popular for gundog training?
